Transition reinforces the company’s commitment to its employees, customers, and community.

Boston, MA (February 5, 2025) — The AT WORK COLLABORATIVE™, LLC (AWC) announced today that it has officially transitioned to a 100% employee-owned company through an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP). This exciting step was unanimously approved by shareholders, including the founders. The transfer includes the wholly owned subsidiaries of AT WORK COLLABORATIVE™, LLC: Environments at Work, Integrated at Work, and Exteriors at Work.

“Becoming employee-owned is an incredible way to honor the culture we have built together,” said Ken Patrick, co-founder. “This shift will preserve our people-first values, keep us flexible and sustainable as an independent company, and ensure our team’s hard work continues to shape our future.”

Ken further emphasized that there will be no changes to the company’s management structure or daily operations. The transition to an ESOP will not affect the service levels or operations experienced by AT WORK COLLABORATIVE™’s valued customers.

This announcement comes as its founding brand, Environments at Work, celebrates its 20th anniversary.  From its humble beginnings with two founders, the company has grown into a family of brands as part of the AT WORK COLLABORATIVE™, with eighty-seven employees across four locations: Boston, Methuen,  Providence, and Hartford.
