Egon Zehnder

Boston, MA

Egon Zehnder, a global management consulting and executive search firm, relocated its Boston office to 125 High Street to accommodate growth. Environments at Work (EAW) helped the client create a new space that fosters teamwork and features workstations and offices,  flexible conference spaces, and common areas to support its 50-member staff.

The high-end design aesthetic of Egon’s European offices was the inspiration for designing the Boston workspace. The project team specifically selected finishes and products with clean lines creating a modern, upscale space. Haworth products featured include Masters Series wood private offices, Compose workstations and Fern seating.

All of the workstations and private offices have height-adjustable worksurfaces to support seated or standing positions. Glass-topped privacy screens between workstations serve a double purpose – they enable easy communication between consultants yet also provide natural light and stunning views of downtown Boston.

EAW enlisted Haworth’s Private Office Solutions Team, a resource specializing in creating custom, private office solutions, to help develop the layout of the offices. The team – working in conjunction with EAW and the end user – created an office typical that worked within challenging existing building conditions. Worksurface and storage requirements varied for each private office so the product had to be carefully ordered and inventoried to successfully meet a small installation window.
