Vericel, a Cambridge-based biotech company, develops advanced cell therapies for the sports medicine and severe burn care markets. Their work is inspiring, and they needed a workspace equally inspiring for its employees.

Vericel relocated to two floors in a recently rehabbed building to accommodate its expanding lab and research space. Focusing on the client’s needs and vision, EAW designed and outfitted the new space as light and bright with cool blue and gray accents to reflect the tech firm’s branding. 

Product solutions and applications:

• 45 workstations equipped with height-adjustable desks to provide sit/stand options, and 35 private offices (all product solutions by AIS)
• a café and boardroom 
• phone booths to offer privacy to staff 

The customer’s needs were the guiding beacon for all of our decisions. Leveraging our breadth of manufacturer partners, EAW provided furnishing solutions to satisfy both aesthetics and budget. The finished product is a warm, welcoming, “tech” office space.
