Environments at Work helped refresh Greater Boston Legal Services’ first-floor office at 197 Friend Street, creating a welcoming, functional environment for clients and the organization’s approximately 250 employees.

The updated space includes a large reception and waiting area, staff workstations, conference and meeting rooms, and an employee break room. Furniture from AIS, Kimball, and SitOnIt balances comfort, functionality, and cost while meeting the demands of a busy, public-facing workplace.

With GBLS remaining fully operational throughout the renovation, our team coordinated closely with the general contractor and other trades to maintain the schedule and minimize disruption.

The result is an inviting, practical workplace that supports staff in delivering free civil legal assistance and creates a more comfortable experience for the people they serve.
