Environments at Work (EAW) and Haworth were selected to help High Liner Foods (HLF), the leading North American processor and marketer of frozen seafood, build their new Portsmouth, NH Administration Facility.  Founded in 1899, HLF’s retail branded products are sold under many labels throughout the United States, Canada and Mexico and are available in most grocery, club stores, restaurants, institutions, food retailers and food service distributors.

High Liner Foods employs approximately 1540 people in Canada, the United States, China, Iceland and Thailand.  HLF wanted the look and image for their new facility to match their new branding and culture.  The project consisted of 114 workstations, 36 offices, 10 conference rooms  and other areas including a library, lunch room, culinary demo/presentation area, reception space, open collaboration areas, and a training room.

Haworth Compose, X Series Storage, Very task seating were selected to provide a clean aesthetic.  Adaptable and reconfigurable Haworth Planes tables and Very chairs were used in the test kitchen and demonstration area – a key space that showcases the company’s products to new and existing clients.

EAW and Haworth were able to provide the client with a complete furniture package that met they key project initiatives: budget, design and buildout schedule.
