The client wanted to use of earth friendly and rapidly renewable materials  to maintain their corporate image.  The space was created with minimal perimeter rooms, exposed mechanical ceilings, and incorporated the building’s central atrium into the interior spaces to take advantage of the natural light it affords.  Departments were laid out around a central quad style courtyard that acts as the company’s gathering area, fostering collaboration and ad hoc meetings.   The use of interactive areas was intended to foster employee idea sharing and was supported by a “panel-less workstation”.  EAW incorporated privacy screens between staff and along the aisle ways and used storage components as the main support for the surfaces to maximize function and minimize cost.  The furniture solution supported all the client’s objectives for an open, creative environment that worked within their tight budget.
